What You May See

Our Shrimp

Neocaridina Shrimp

One of the most common types of freshwater aquarium shrimp, neocaridina are colorful and relatively easy to keep. Our tank is what you may see referred to as a “skittles tank” because we keep multiple colors of neos in the same tank. The multiple colors and fun personalities create a vibrant tank that is fun to watch!

Bamboo Shrimp

These shrimp, which go by multiple other names such as the Asian Filter Feeding Shrimp or Fan Shrimp, are fun to watch. These peaceful shrimp feed by using their fans to catch very fine particles floating in the water. You might see them near the output for the filter where the water flow is highest.

Tank Mates

Of course we love our shrimp, but you might also see a few additions to the tank that aren’t shrimp. Our guppies and snails help us ensure a diverse ecosystem for our shrimp.
